MIKE RIVARD is a filmmaker and musician who lives in St. Paul. He has shown his work at the Minneapolis St. Paul Film Festival about May Day festivities and  In the Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater’s annual May Day Parade. His documentary Jim Northrup: With Reservations about the Ojibwe activist and storyteller that was shown on PBS/TPT. His work has included documenting peace marches, political protests and public artwork. He is currently working on a film project about the Philando Castile Peace Garden that commemorates the life of a victim of police murder.
